Join us

We are a bunch of South Africans who formed a platoon called "Oh YEAH!!!" - we are not pro gamers, but not complete noobs either (in other words, in the game, we do what is expected of us - we attack and defend when you should, spot enemies, heal team mates and fix vehicles, etc.). We are looking for able bodied soldiers to join us, so if you meet the following requirements, feel free to put a join request in on our platoon page, which is here.

1. You must be living in South Africa - it won't help us at all if you're not in SA, cause we only play on local servers. It will also really help if you at least understand Afrikaans, as most of us are and will probably be shouting in Afrikaans as we go along!
2. You must follow the basics, which can be found here - if you join and don't do what's on that page, we'll kick you out.
3. You must have a mic so that we can talk to each other (we use Mumble for our VOIP, so make sure you have that up and running before you join)

Here are some questions you might have:

Q. How often do you play?

A. We all have day jobs, and most of us are married or have girlfriends, so we play when we can. Sometimes it can be once a week, other times 5 times a week. The thing is, the whole game experience is so much better when you have a team mate with you, so if you get online and you see one of us there, invite us to play with you.

Q. Who do you consider noobs?

A. If you do the opposite of what you see on this page, then we will consider you a noob, and we don't want you in our team - if your accuracy isn't that good, or you're new to gaming or FPS games and want to learn, then we don't consider you a noob and you're welcome to join us. As long as you contribute to the battle in some way (be it always spotting the enemies, healing team mates, fixing vehicles, defending when you're supposed to, attacking when you're supposed to, etc.), then we want you on our team :)

Q. And pro gamers, can we not join?

A. If you regularly take part in gaming tournaments and get through to the finals, and participate in hundreds of LANs every year, or you even make a living out of gaming, then you probably are already in a platoon or squad somewhere. But, if you want to join us, the more the better, just know that we don't play games for a living, we do it for the fun of it, so if your skill is way above ours, don't get cross or frustrated when we don't live up to your expectations! We're in it for the enjoyment of the game, and to have fun!

Q. Will you guys be entering any tournaments or competitions?

A. Yes if we have a good enough group we'd definitely like to eventually take part in competitions. As soon as we start compiling a team for that, we'll let everyone know. For now we're just leveling and playing casually...

All in all, we have found the game to be just so much better when you're playing with friends (even if they're not as good or as bad as you!) - so if you feel the same way, apply to join our platoon!
